Dr. Ensaf Y. Almomani has a Ph.D. in human physiology from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta (U of A)-Canada. She had her master's degree in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology from the Department of Applied Biological Sciences, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) ? Jordan. After getting her Master's degree, Dr. Almomani worked initially as a lab supervisor followed by a full-time lecturer at the Faculties of Medicine and Allied Medical Sciences at JUST. There she taught biochemistry, molecular, and cytogenetics practical courses. Next, Dr. Almomani got a scholarship to finish her PhD degree in Human Physiology; there she worked specifically on the clinical, molecular, cellular, and physiological basis of the distal renal tubular acidosis disease. Dr. Almomani continued her research passion by working as a research assistant in the Department of Physiology at U of A for one year following her Ph.D. degree. Then she moved to Jordan to work as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alzaytoonah University of Jordan for three academic years. Next, she joined the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Balqa Applied University where she is currently working as an assistant professor. Dr. Almomani is teaching human physiology in a system-based manner and performing research in her fields or experience and interests.

Research Intersets:
- The physiological, biological, and molecular bases of diseases
- Kidney diseases and the associated risk factors including diabetes, genetically inherited diseases like the Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis (dRTA). Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD). End Stage Renal Diseases (ESRD). Dialysis and kidney stones etiology.
- Membrane proteins including the Anion Exchangers protein families (AE) expression and mutations in kidney and cancerous cells.
- The epidemiological causes of Cancer: mutations in the anion exchanger proteins, mutations in the p53 gene caused by smoking
